Re: Final Exam Exercises

Dear CSCI-316 Students,

As announced on p. 4 of the 1st-day-announcements document, the date and time of your CUMULATIVE FINAL EXAM will be as follows:

The exam will be in PH 113, our regular classroom. I will send you another email before Exam 2 that will provide more information about the cumulative final exam.

Final Exam Exercises Document

The FinalExamExercises PDF document on Brightspace gives a reading assignment and exercises that you should be sure to do before the final exam. A copy of this document is attached.

GREEN Questions

You will be in a position to work on all of the GREEN questions on the 3rd and 11th pages of the FinalExamExercises document after our class this coming Monday (12/8). Indeed, based on what has been covered in the past two weeks, you are ALREADY in a position to work on questions 1-5 on the 3rd page and questions 1-5 on the 11th page. (Note that the Hints in the 1st bulleted items on those pages provide useful information.)

Material that is relevant to the GREEN questions appears in the following documents/slides on Brightspace:

RED Questions

You are not expected to be able to do the RED questions on the 3rd and the 11th pages until after our class next Wednesday (Dec. 10), but you should be sure to do them before the final exam!

Important Note on Answers

IMPORTANT: The 5th-last page of the FinalExamExercises document gives explanatory comments on the answers to many of the questions on the 3rd page.

First Page Problems

You should do the two problems of the 1st page of the FinalExamExercises document after doing the reading assignment given on the first two lines of that page.

As mentioned above, I will send you another email before Exam 2 that will provide more information about the cumulative final exam.
